A Special Offer from ResNet and the Shaheen Bookstore ResNet and the Shaheen Bookstore have partnered with Apple and Dell to offer our students a unique computer purchasing opportunity this summer. You can purchase one of our recommended Apple MacBook or MacBook Pro computers or a Dell Latitude E6500 with educational pricing through the Shaheen Bookstore and pick it up when you arrive on campus in August. This offer is available to all new and returning Saint Mary's students.

Important information about Microsoft software:
Saint Mary's College has a Microsoft Campus Agreement allowing us to offer Microsoft Office 2007 for Windows, Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac, Windows Vista Ultimate Edition Upgrade, and Microsoft Windows XP Professional Edition Upgrade for $10 each. Please bring your Saint Mary's ID card with you to purchase the software, and the software will be charged to your student account. Software purchases must be made in person. Microsoft software is available for purchase in the ResNet Office (102 Haggar College Center) beginning Thursday, August 20, 2009. |
Important information about supported operating systems and ResNet: Saint Mary's College supports Mac OS X (10.2 or later), Microsoft Windows Vista Business Edition, Vista Ultimate Edition, and Microsoft Windows XP Professional on our student residential network (ResNet). For more information, please visit the ResNet web site at www.saintmarys.edu/resnet. Students with computers running non-supported operating systems will be told to purchase and install an appropriate upgrade. |
The Campus iStore was developed by the Department of Information Technology to help students, parents, faculty, staff select and purchase personal computers and software at educational discount rates from College-approved vendors. The Campus iStore does not carry any computers in stock, we only assist with computer purchasing decisions and process.
The Campus iStore's recommended systems have been approved by our Information Technology professionals to be ready to use on our student residential network (ResNet) and meet the expected computing needs of students for four years. The systems we recommend are the same models Saint Mary's College buys for our faculty and staff - we follow our own recommendations.
We recommend that incoming students wait to purchase a computer for College until after the Saint Mary’s College Summer Orientation sessions in June so you have an opportunity to learn more about our recommendations and be able to take advantage of special "Back to School" sales our vendors offer.
